I've had precognitive dreams about things as varied as Lucille Ball's death and 9/11. My grandfather had precognitive dreams, too, so I always figured it runs in the family.
I've noticed that the precognitive dreams almost always happen the nights that my forehead tingles as I'm trying to fall asleep. It's as if my 'third eye' is activating.
I also have 'visitations' from loved ones in dreams. My mom has come to visit me several times since her untimely death in 2000, and I've also been visited by her mother and aunt and sister. They usually have news or encouragement or a simple message of peace and 'everything is going to be okay.'
I consider such dreams and 'visitations' a gift.
Thanks for sharing yours with us!

I've had a few myself-- not with the future, but with the present, usually involving my family. One that I will share is entirely insignificant, but strangely coincidental. I dreamed that I was walking near a swimming pool and I saw sharks swimming in it. Then my younger brother came walking along and I told him, "Stay away from the pool! There're sharks in it!" To my horror he was curious and walked right up to the edge of the pool-- a big shark lept out towards my brother that was huge like Jaws, but then it just stayed still, and seemed almost fake, and my brother, who wasn't frightned at all, looked at it with fascination. The shark slid back into the water, and all was well.

I only talk to my brother occasionally since I live across the country, but the day of this dream I happened to talk to him on the phone. I told him about my dream, and he said, "That's freaky, because I've been watching Shark Week on tv this week...pretty much 24/7." (he was on break from school). Coincidence....or not?

dreams do foretell the future. How and why , that remains to be still explained. However , one thing is sure , that one has to interpret dreams correctly to benefit from the same.

I have precognitive dreams fairly often. They aren't really dreams so much as "snapshots" that occur while I'm asleep. It's taken a long time but I'm finally able to recognize and remember them before they actually happen. I used to only remember them when the incident occurred. Like you mention Erin, they're insignificant and being snapshots, it can be really difficult to figure out what it refers to.

On a different note, I've been getting precognitive "feelings" while meditating sometimes. These ones seem to be about significant moments of choice that will occur in my life. I get a sense of the moment leading up to the choice and, thanks to the precognitive bit, I know that even though on the surface the choice seems trivial, it will have a great impact on my life. Do you have something like that occur for you too?

As has always been the case for me, the biggest challenge is in recognizing when these moments are happening. You seem to be quite aware of these moments. Can you provide some tips on recognizing them?

I've had dreams like that too. Is it okay to share? Maybe other readers have stories as well.

I went to bed early one night, around 7-8pm, and dreamed that my great aunt, who recently had a stroke, had passed away and all of my family went to the funeral without me. The next day I got an e-mail from my grandma about my aunt's death and whether there would be a memorial service or not. Apparently she thought somebody had told me that she had passed the night before around 9:15, but even though everybody else knew, nobody had called to tell me.

I also had a dream when I was on vacation with a friend, about my family. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was so sad that I woke up crying. That morning I called my mom because I just wanted to hear her voice. I told her about my dream, and she said that she hadn't wanted to tell me because I was on vacation, but my brother had been hospitalized for depression while I was gone.

And have you ever had precognitive emotions? I had a Christmas once where I was so thoroughly upset and depressed and anxious, it was frightening. It lasted a few days, and it was really confusing, and went away as oddly as it started. After we went home, my grandfather suddenly died of a heart attack. Somehow I always felt like it was related.

To a lesser extent, I had a weird bout of inexplicable anxiety and sadness prior to a friend's wife passing away from cancer. I felt like that was connected too, but I'm not sure how.
