It's true but most of the time it's something that you can only do on a one-to-one basis. I was at a birthday party last Saturday and there was this woman who was incredilby hyper and fun loving making everyone laugh. She was the last person I thought would be an eagle however we managed to spend some time alone and we had a great spiritual conversation during that time She was "an emerging eagle" shall we say!

I guess it depends on the type of party too, I mean, how can you start talking about something spiritual when you've got music blaring in the background!?! :p (especially the kind with lots of swearing and naked ladies shaking their booty!) Not the easiest challenge in the world!

I've known lots of bears and eagles in my time and sometimes it's just best to let the bears sleep and just soar with the eagles.

Yes I find that when I'm at a party if I simply bring up an "eagle" topic some people show great interest and others get up and walk away. It's a good way of finding out who is who.

This reminds me of a blog I wrote recently about inspiriational people. Not just the people I might see in the news or hear doing great things but the people in my life actively playing a role. I've heard it said that the company you keep colours you and in the past few years I'm met mostly eagles which I am thankful for. Sometimes, the eagles look like bears at first but when you truly open your eyes and look you see the eagle within.

From my experience it can get lonely living only among bears but if you keep your hope high, and flap your wings you might get lucky from time to time.
To keep the metaphor, I was cruising at low altitude one day when I saw a big shadow on the ground. Taking a second look I discovered that it was from an eagle above me. We started talking and it was nice, it is indeed nice to see someone understanding you. It was a surprise for her to hear that I am a vegetarian and I was to surprised when I heard that she was a vegetarian almost all of her life. I thought I was extreme for going vegan until she started talking about how she uses to go Prana fasting for 3 weeks a year.
I guess what I'm trying to say is... don't give up, other eagles might be closer than you think, and as Erin said, if you show your feathers....
