Steve wrote an interesting post yesterday about personal branding. He asked his readers to send him three adjectives to describe him so he can get an idea of how he is branded in the minds of his readers. He suggested I might want to do the same so I can get an idea of how I’m branded in the minds of my readers. It’s a good tool to make sure that what you’re wanting to express is actually being received. That way, if it isn’t, you can adjust your method of expression to make sure you’re being perceived as you think you really are.

To that end, I’d love it if you could send me three adjectives to describe me. It will be very helpful to me, and I would be very grateful for your honest feedback. I’ll post the results on the blog later. Don’t post your three adjectives in the forum because I don’t want other people to read the responses and have them influence their own response.

Thank you!

Update: I have received enough adjectives now, thank you! I’ll post the results. shortly

I’m going to be at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim on March 14 and 15, and then I’ll be in Los Angeles for another couple of days, figure the 16th and 17th for sure. Possibly the 18th as well. I know a lot of people have written to me and wanted to know if and when I made it out to Los Angeles next, so if you think you’re interested in booking an in-person reading while I’m in town please let me know right away so I can determine the level of interest and start making some solid arrangements.

I don’t know where I’ll be doing the readings just yet, but it will likely be in the Woodland Hills area of the San Fernando Valley. If you’re in the Orange County area I might be able to swing some readings on my way out of Anaheim on Sunday the 16th. We’ll see.

But for now, I wanted to get an indication of interest. Use my contact form to let me know if you want an in-person reading, but don’t book it just yet.

As I’m working on my audio program I have realized that there is a lot of information that I could put in the program. But before I commit to a certain path I thought it might be good to get some feedback on what you guys actually want to hear and learn about. Here are the subjects currently in my audio program outline. If you want, please comment in the discussion forum or send me a private email.

Explanation and Meditations on:
Chakras and Your Energetic Body
Tuning in to Your Higher Self
Meeting Your Spirit Guides
Remembering your Past Life and Future Self
How to Reconnect with Source
Receiving Healing

And separate programs covering life purpose, connecting with your intuition, how to commune with your ego, and how to become a vibrational match for your desires.

I could also go heavily into psychic development like how to speak with deceased relatives, increase your psychic senses (clairvoyance, clairaudience, etc.), the ethics of giving psychic readings, how to become a medium, building a spiritual business, and more of that.

What do you think you’d benefit from the most? Since I’m comfortable discussing all of these things I thought it wise to find out what people want to hear the most.

Thanks for any and all feedback. Much appreciated!

Today marks the 2-year anniversary of when I launched ErinPavlina.com and my blog. I just remembered also that I went vegan on January 19, 1997, so I guess I’m also celebrating 11 years as a vegan. January 19 appears to be an auspicious day for me and for launching things.

I looked back over my goals from last year and noticed that I didn’t get around to writing fiction like I wanted. I’ve been in talks with my cousin, the screenwriter, to develop a tv show or a movie based on some paranormal things, but so far I’ve got nothing but ideas to show for it. Due to the writer’s strike he can’t even really work on the show anyway, but I’m not giving up. I will get something to him by year’s end.

On the Toastmaster front … I am giving my 10th speech this Thursday, so I will be a Competent Communicator, which is the completion of the first level of Toastmaster training. I’m excited to reach this goal. Public speaking was never a forte of mine, but I’ve really come to enjoy it, and I’ve gotten a lot better since I joined Toastmasters. I’ve also recently been challenging myself to speak outside my club (where I’ve gotten comfy) and have been volunteering to speak at other clubs. I intend to do more of that this year while I begin my Advanced Communicator Bronze program (10 more speeches, more specialized though).

And the readings … still doing lots of readings and they’re going well. As mentioned in a recent blog entry, the process is changing a little and I’m getting more information clairaudiently. I’m adapting to this new method and by the end of the year I’m sure it will change again.

Products. This is my big goal for this year. Doing readings is wonderful, but I can only help one person at a time, and I’m feeling an urge to create something that more people can access. By the end of this year I’m intending to have either a book or audio program that will help people tune in to their own spirit guides, increase intuition, contact their deceased relatives, and more.

On the personal side of things, I’m taking more time to do some of the things I enjoy most. I want to travel, meet new people, perhaps do a seminar or workshop locally, and get some rest and relaxation. My mother-in-law got me a gift certificate to my favorite spa here in town, last July for my birthday and I still haven’t used it. As God is my witness I will be at the spa the first week of February! Come Hell or high water… well, you get the idea. Health is a big goal of mine this year. I’ll blog more about that in time. And I want to spend more time with the kids too.

I enjoy the communication I receive from my readers. The best way to reach me is through the contact form or you can submit a question through the Ask Erin form. I regret that I usually don’t have time to get into lengthy back and forth emails with people, and please don’t write me your entire dream, I’m not going to interpret it for you. I just don’t have that kind of time.

Please visit our discussion forums. They’re a great place to meet other like-minded “smart people.” And if I don’t answer your question fast enough, you’ll get an answer there pretty darn quick.

I’m here to serve. If there’s anything you’d like to see me write more about, please let me know. Thanks to everyone who made my second year fantastic! On to number three!

Also, as part of a holiday promotion, I’m currently selling my vegan cookbook, Vegan Family Favorites, for just $12.00 plus FREE shipping. That’s 40% off the cover price and free shipping to boot. This offer is for US customers only. If you’re outside the United States you can purchase the book through your local Amazon carrier.

When you go the Vegan Family Favorites site you’ll see a photo of every recipe in the book to whet your whistle. The recipes are easy to make, family and kid tested and approved, and there are some great holiday recipes in there.

Over the weekend I added a Consultations page to my site which you may have noticed if you were visiting over the weekend. I decided to provide consultations in addition to readings for a couple of reasons.

First, sometimes people would book a reading with me and when I got on the phone with them they would say, “I don’t really need or want a reading, I just wanted to talk to you about (insert topic here) and there wasn’t another way for me to do that except to book a psychic reading.”

The second reason I decided to offer a consulting option is that I get about 20-25 emails a week from people who tell me their life story or their personal situation and want to engage me in a lengthy email exchange to get my insight or advice on their situation. People also type out long dreams that they want interpreted which is a waste of their time since dream interpretation necessarily involves a two-way conversation where we can go back and forth and match the symbolism with what’s going on in your life.

Unfortunately, there’s just no way for me to accommodate everyone who needs to consult with me so I end up having to tell people that I don’t have the time to counsel them through their situation. Spending too much time in email discussions with people sets me back in my ability to write blog entries and work on products that will benefit more than just one person at a time.

Take a look at the Consultations page to see a list of suggested topics you can discuss with me in either a 30 minute or 60 minute appointment. If this is something that appeals to you please go ahead and book an appointment. You’ll receive further instructions once you book the appointment.
