I told him I&#8217;d listen to it when I had some time.</p>
<p>Fast forward to a dark and gloomy Monday in October. I&#8217;d received some very bad and upsetting news about the health of a family member. I was sad, stressed, and upset.</p>
<p>Then I got into an argument with someone close to me. The day was quickly falling into the abyss of days you just want to leave behind you as fast as possible.</p>
<p>During lunch I decided to listen to the music my friend had sent me.</p>
<p>And something really amazing and powerful happened.</p>
<p>Before I knew it, I had slipped into a higher frequency. My vibration raised to a place of love, peace and gratitude. My body tingled.</p>
<p>I started to spontaneously move into a clairaudient state. I made contact with a group of celestial beings. And we had a conversation.</p>
<p>Then I channeled a message about <a href="http://www.erinpavlina.com/blog/2012/10/manifesting-that-which-you-desire/">manifesting that which you desire</a> and released it on my blog.</p>
<p>In just minutes I went from a low vibration to one of the highest vibrations I&#8217;ve ever achieved.</p>
<p>I called my friend immediately and said, &#8220;What the heck is in this music?&#8221;</p>
<p>He laughed and explained he&#8217;d created the tracks using amplitude modulation, a highly advanced form of brain entrainment, more effective, easier on the ear and brain, and more convenient than the traditional binaural beats (no need for headphones).  This helps put you in those higher vibrations.  I told him how awesome it was, and I asked him if he&#8217;d be willing to let me offer this to my readers.  He said yes.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What&#8217;s your dominant emotional state?  Are you usually chipper, happy, and in a place of joy?  Or are you depressed, sad, upset or anxious a lot?  </p>
<p>Your emotional state has a huge impact on your life path.  Have you noticed that when you&#8217;re excited and happy you feel unstoppable?  Things just fall into place.  It&#8217;s like money drops from the sky.  Relationships get better.  Things start going better at work.  You&#8217;re in the flow.  Everything you think about manifests.  Everything you want just drops right into your lap.</p>
<p>But what happens when you&#8217;re anxious, worried, and upset?  Have you noticed that things keep getting worse?  You fall out of flow and everything is a struggle.  The pieces of your life start falling down like a house of cards.  Someone gets sick.  You get chewed out at work.  Your loved one wants some space.  You can&#8217;t get anything done.  Even simple things become difficult.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s happening is that your vibrational state is having a direct impact on your life path.</p>
<p>When you are happy and at a high vibration, you attract positive experiences.  Life just gets better.  You&#8217;re totally in the flow.  Your boat is sailing along with the current and you don&#8217;t even have to paddle.</p>
<p>When you are happy, and &#8220;bad&#8221; things happen, you shrug them off more easily.  You keep your vibration high, you handle your problem, and you keep going.  To extend the metaphor, your boat hit a rock, but you were so on top of the situation that you easily maneuvered around the obstacle and just kept right on going.  Barely scratched and dented.</p>
<p>Being happy doesn&#8217;t mean you avoid pain, it means the pain can&#8217;t bring you down and cripple you.</p>
<p>Now if you&#8217;re prone to feelings of sadness, upset, anxiety, and worry, then when something negative happens, instead of handling it and moving on, it&#8217;s going to stop you in your tracks.  It&#8217;s like getting caught on a big rock and no matter how hard you try to get unstuck, you just can&#8217;t get your boat off the rocks.  You&#8217;re trying, but the water is beating you up from behind.  You&#8217;re frustrated.  Upset.  And even though you&#8217;re trying hard to get unstuck, you can&#8217;t.</p>
<p>In this situation, you&#8217;re trying to stay with the current, and be in the flow, but you got overwhelmed.  How do you get unstuck?  You must adjust your vibration.  You can&#8217;t get unstuck from the same emotional place that got you stuck.  You&#8217;re unresourceful.  You can&#8217;t see how to get off the rock.</p>
<p>You may need to ask for help from others.  You may need to stop struggling for a minute, tune in to your guides, and listen to their guidance.  It&#8217;s their job to assist you when you get stuck.  But the most important thing you can do to get unstuck is to raise your vibration.  Yes, even when you&#8217;re being battered and beaten and you can&#8217;t see a way out, your best course of action is to raise your vibration.</p>
<p>The reason is that you can&#8217;t get away from feeling upset, sad, and scared while you&#8217;re feeling upset, sad, and scared.  You can only get away from those feelings by feeling something else.</p>
<p>But how are you supposed to adjust your feelings if you&#8217;re feeling them?!?!  The answer is temporarily.  You can temporarily choose a higher vibration.  Even when you are in the pit of despair, you must find a higher vibration, even if just for a few minutes.  Find something to laugh about.  Dance a little.  Sing at the top of your lungs.  Meditate.  Do whatever makes you feel happy, even if it&#8217;s just for 10 minutes or a couple of hours.</p>
<p>Because when you can pop yourself into a higher vibration, resources come.  Thoughts you couldn&#8217;t have at the lower vibration now flow to you easily.  Help arrives.  Ideas come.   And you suddenly see exactly how you&#8217;re going to get off the rock.</p>
<p>If you give in to despair, however, you will thrash around until you&#8217;re so tired you can&#8217;t fight and struggle anymore.  You&#8217;ll want to give up, sink, and maybe even end your life.  But it doesn&#8217;t have to be that way at all.</p>
<p>Learning to master your vibration is critical to having a life of joy versus a life of heartache.</p>
<p>There will always be events and circumstances in your life over which you have no control.  Stuff happens.  You can&#8217;t prevent negative things from happening to you.  But how you react to them determines the quality of your life.</p>
<p>You can <a href="http://www.erinpavlina.com/blog/2006/11/choosing-our-emotions/" target="_blank">choose your emotions</a>.  You can <a href="http://www.erinpavlina.com/store/raising-your-vibration/" target="_blank">raise your vibration</a>.  You can decide if you&#8217;re going with the current or struggling to paddle upstream.</p>
<p>Practice raising your vibration.  For 10 minutes a day, be ridiculously positive, happy, and exuberant.  Then go back to what you were feeling before.  After you&#8217;ve mastered 10 minutes, try 20, and so on.  Before long, you&#8217;ll be more comfortable being in the higher vibrational states and it will be a lot easier to get there.</p>
<p>The more time you spend in those states, the more amazing and wonderful your life is going to be.  Don&#8217;t believe me?  Try it.  What do you have to lose except that sad face?  </p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As mentioned in my audio program, <a href="http://www.erinpavlina.com/products/index.htm" target="_blank">Raising Your Vibration</a>, singing is one of the fastest and easiest ways to change your emotional state from negative to positive.  Singing is something you can do instantly.  Even if you’re vocally impaired or in a situation where singing would be inappropriate you could actually sing in your mind and it will have the same effect.  Singing can also raise the energy of the people around you.  I’ve seen it happen first hand.</p>
<p>I was at the mechanic’s shop getting my car repaired.  It was going to take a couple of hours so I decided to just sit in the waiting room and read a good book, a rare pleasure for me.  The television in the waiting room was on but I was tuning it out.  There was an elderly couple in the waiting room with me.  The husband was slouched in his seat, eyes closed, arms crossed, and it looked like he was doing his best to nap in a really uncomfortable chair.</p>
<p>His wife was yabbering on about what was happening on the television which was playing the game show, <em>The Price is Right</em>.  Everything coming out of the woman’s mouth was negative though.  “Oh that guy was so stupid, I could have gotten that question right.”  “That model has really fat thighs.  Look at them honey.”  Her husband would periodically crack an eye open, nod noncommittally and go back to napping.  She kept at it, even during commercials.  “That restaurant has the worst food. I would never eat there.”  “That car constantly breaks down.  Those people are crooks to sell those cars.”  I never heard one positive thing come out of her mouth.  Her mouth never stopped moving and nothing positive was coming out of it.</p>
<p>After a short while, one of the mechanics came in to get some coffee.  He was humming and smiling.  I perked up for a second and smiled at him.  He smiled back, stirred his coffee, and walked back to the shop area.  I went back to reading.  The elderly lady went back to casting insults at the people on the television who couldn’t even hear her, and her husband tried to slip away unnoticed into naptown.</p>
<p>Another 30 minutes passed and the mechanic came back into the waiting room.  This time he came in singing a loud, cheerful song.  I put my bookmark in my book and set it down on a chair.  The mechanic made eye contact with me and said, “Hey there, young miss.  How are you this fine day?”  I replied with a smile, “Quite well, thank you.  How about yourself?”  He said, “Oh it’s a good day and I’m feeling fine.”  He started singing again. </p>
<p>The elderly man opened his eyes, sat up in his chair, and shook off his dazed look.  The mechanic said, “And how about you folks?  You doing alright?”  The elderly man nodded at the mechanic.  The woman crossed her arms and “hmphhed” in his general direction.  The mechanic shrugged and started singing again, then left to go back to his repairs.</p>
<p>Once he left the room I picked up my book and started reading again.  The elderly man said, “Nice fellow that guy was.”  The elderly woman said, “I found it really annoying that he was singing.  He’s not being paid to sing, he’s being paid to fix our car.  He should get back to it and stop messing around.”  The elderly man said, “Yes, dear” and went back to sleep.</p>
<p>After another short while, the mechanic came back, and yes, he was singing.  Only this time he was singing loudly and dramatically, with gestures, like he was in a Broadway play.  He wore a huge smile on his face and started dancing around a little too.  I was terribly amused.  The elderly man sat up in his seat and was openly smiling.  The elderly woman seemed stunned.  At first it seemed like she was going to say something nasty, but then she just shut her mouth and stared at the mechanic in apparent shock.  The mechanic kept singing and as he got to the end of his song, he knelt down right in front of the lady, held his arms out to her like he wanted to hug her, and finished his song.  The woman looked embarrassed, but after a moment her face cracked and she broke into a smile.  I could actually see tension leave her body as she relaxed into her new feeling.  The mechanic stood up and said, “What a beautiful smile you’ve got there.  Makes you glow!”  Now she was really smiling.  She reached out and touched him on the arm.  I thought it was a lovely connecting gesture.  The mechanic smiled and started whistling as he left the waiting room and went back to the shop.</p>
<p>I said to the couple, “That was fun!”  The elderly man said, “I like that guy.  He’s got something special.”  We both looked at the woman.  She said, “I suppose if you have to sit in a waiting room then having someone singing at you isn’t too bad.”  I think that was the closest she was going to get to a compliment.  I noticed after this little exchange that she stopped making negative comments about the people on the television.  She just grabbed a magazine and started reading it quietly.  After just a few minutes, she started humming.  I don’t even think she realized it.  And I’m sure she didn’t notice the smile tickling the corners of her mouth. </p>
<p>What could you do to raise someone’s vibration today?  Look around for someone in your office, school, community, or home who could use a little pick-me-up.  Don’t say a word, just start singing or humming around them and see what happens.  Hold your vibration, don’t let them bring you down.  You can raise the energy of a room simply by being in a high vibrational state.  Try it today and see.</p>
