How To Find Your Optimal Medium

In my blog entry, The Medium and The Message, and in Steve’s blog entry, The Medium vs. The Message, we both discuss the difference between your message and your medium.  In essence, your message is what you’re here to express or do, like teach people compassion, help people grow, or empower others.  Your medium is the method you use to express your message such as becoming a therapist, speaker, writer, lawyer, teacher, etc. So how do you find your optimal medium when you have so many options to choose from?  Here are several ways to help you choose or discern your optimal

Making a Living vs. Making a Life

In graduate school I remember taking an evening walk with my friend and we were talking about what we were going to do after college.  We knew we were going to have to get jobs and we were trying to determine where we’d be the most happy.  Our conversation went roughly like this: Me:  Something doesn’t feel right about getting a job. Getting Paid for Spiritual Work

Question:  Like you, Erin, I am discovering that I have psychic gifts.  I want to share them with people but I am uncomfortable charging people money for a reading.  On the other hand, I’d rather do this spiritual work than slave away at a desk job.  How can I reconcile this? Answer:  You are in the same boat as many lightworkers.  Part of Lightworker Syndrome is this feeling of guilt about being paid for this work.  After all, if this is your true spiritual mission and these gifts are from Source, then isn’t it exploitative to use them to make
