6 Ways to Raise Someone Else’s Vibration

Raising Other People's VibrationsIn my audio program, Raising Your Vibration, I share 10 ways you can raise your vibration in less than 10 minutes. But what if your vibration is just fine and you’re around someone whose vibration is low? What if their low vibration is so strong that it starts to bring YOU down? Is there anything you can do to help them raise their vibration? Yes indeed! Here are 6 methods you can use to help someone else turn their frown upside down.

Listen to them
Sometimes people who are down just want to be left alone, but sometimes people are carrying a weight so heavy that they are glad for someone to come along and help them carry it or remove it. That’s where you come in. When you see someone who is troubled, offer your ear. “Joanne, you seem troubled. Do you want to talk about it? I’m here to listen if you’d like.” And then really listen. Give the person an opportunity to just get it all out. Talking about our problems helps us process them. You may be able to offer a solution to their problem or just let them know they’ve been heard and aren’t alone. Just knowing someone cares enough to listen can raise someone’s vibration. Try it and see.

Give them love
One of the best ways to raise someone’s vibration is to give them love. People receive love in many different ways, so it helps if you know how the person likes to receive love.

People whose love strategy is physical affection may respond well if you offer them a hug. People with acts of service as their love strategy may appreciate it if you offer to help them with a task or chore that will lift their spirits or help them with their burdens.

People who respond well to words of affirmation may really appreciate you telling them how wonderful they are and how happy you are to have them in your life.

People with quality time as their love strategy may feel better if you offer to take them out for lunch or take a walk with them in the park.

And if receiving gifts makes a person feel loved, you could buy them a little trinket signifying your love/friendship, or you could make them a card or something cute. When people feel loved, their vibration goes up.

Express your gratitude
Another great way to lift someone’s spirits is to express your gratitude to them. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations you can feel, so lifting someone to a place where they feel appreciated will do wonders for their energy and resourcefulness. Go up to the person and very sincerely tell them what you love most about them, or the ways in which they positively impact your life.

Be happy
Sometimes the best way to raise someone’s vibration is simply to keep your own vibration super high. Your vibration could rub off on them quite easily. I recall one evening as I was on my way to a toastmaster meeting, I had just received a very scathing email from a stranger who wanted me to know in no uncertain terms how incredibly fat I was and that I should just kill myself. I know, right? Kinda rude. So I’m driving along trying to shake off the negative energy and not succeeding very well. But when I got to my toastmaster meeting I was greeted by S. Frank Stringham, who enveloped me in a bear hug, dipped me, and started noisily nibbling on my neck. This is his usual greeting, and I love it. I can always count on S. to make me laugh. In no time at all I had forgotten the nasty email and was instead bantering and laughing with S. and the gang. S. is one of the most jovial and loving people I’ve ever met, and if I’m ever lying in a hospital bed, suffering, he is the one I want sitting in my room with me cheering me up!

Sing to Them
Does anyone remember the tv show Laverne and Shirley? Whenever one of the girls was down, the other would start singing High Hopes. “Just what makes that little old ant, think he can move that rubber tree plant. Everyone knows an ant, can’t, move a rubber tree plant. But he’s got high hopes…” etc. And before long the other would be singing along. I know it sounds a little strange, but it does work. Find someone who isn’t feeling empowered and start singing at them. A nice hopeful, empowering song. Eye of the Tiger. High Hopes. Hum the Chariots of Fire theme. Gonna Fly Now (theme from Rocky). What a Feeling. Whatever is suitable for the situation. See if you can get them to sing too, but even if you can’t, just you standing there singing at them might be enough to raise their spirits. If you can dance around a little, that will help too.

Knock them out of state
Do you know someone who wallows when they are upset or depressed? Whenever you talk to them they just can’ t be cheered up and seem to enjoy being miserable? No matter what you say or do they just want to hang on to their unhappy state? Sometimes you just have to shake things up. Next time they start going off about their problems, have a cup of water in your hand and toss the contents into their face. Yep, a nice splash of cold water, right in the face. They will be so utterly shocked that you did that, they might start laughing! If they don’t, back away slowly and blame it on an arm twitch.

Another way to knock them out of state would be to get up into their face and make googly eyes and noises at them. “Booga booga booga!” They’ll stop their complaining to ask you what in tarnation’s gotten into you. If you keep doing strange things to them whenever they try to express their depression soon you’ll have broken their pattern and they won’t know what to feel. That’s when you can start lifting their spirits using another method.

In summary, you can help other people raise their vibration. When your own vibration is high, it will naturally rub off on others. Get into the habit of noticing the vibration of the people around you, and when you spot trouble, spring into action! Try it today and see what you can do. High vibrations make for happier and more resourceful people. Do your part in helping to bring the planet to a state of love and peace. Raise a vibration today!
