How To Tell If Your Deceased Loved One Visited You In Your Dream

Dreams are one of the easiest ways for your deceased loved ones to communicate with you after they’ve passed.

Dreams provide a unique playing field that’s easy for you to get to and easy for them to get to.

During the day while you’re awake your mind is occupied with many things like work, school, family, or health. Your deceased loved one could be standing in front of you waving their arms or talking to you and you probably wouldn’t notice.

But when you are asleep, your mind is at rest and relaxed. You’re more open to noticing what’s right in front of you.

Also it’s easier for the deceased to find your frequency while you are sleeping, and insert themselves into your dream. It’s much harder for them to try to manifest on your waking frequency.

So deceased loved ones will often try to visit you or send you a message in a dream.

But not every dream about a deceased loved one is a true visitation. Sometimes we just dream about our loved ones because we miss them or are thinking about them. That dream content comes from our subconscious mind.

Here are four ways you can tell if you’ve received an actual visitation from your dead loved ones.

The Dream Feels Super Real

Dreams of deceased loved ones (DLOs) will feel like they are really happening, like they are not dreams at all. You may become very lucid in this dream, which is when you become aware that you are dreaming while you are still in the dream.

You may find yourself saying inside the dream, “Wait, is this real? Are you really here?”

Usually your DLO will respond, “Yes, I’m really here.” I don’t think I’ve ever had one tell me “No I’m not really here.”

So if the dream feels as real as waking reality, chances are good it’s a visitation.

They Tell You Something Important

Usually DLOs come to you in your dreams with an important message. The energy and finesse it takes to visit you in a dream is extraordinary. They don’t come for no reason.

So when a DLO tells you they are really there, believe them and then listen for their message.

Sometimes you get so caught up in the moment that you don’t let the message come forth, and you’ll kick yourself when you wake up and realize you never heard their message.

I’ve had DLOs come to me to tell me I was going to have a miscarriage. I’ve had them tell me someone in the family was about to cross over. And I’ve had them give me some spiritual wisdom or advice they knew I needed at the time.

So let them do the talking, and once they’ve given you their message then you can chat about other things and tell them how much you miss them.

You Have a Strong Emotional Reaction

Even though I’ve had a lot of spirit communication in my dreams, it never fails to impress me that I’m speaking to real live dead person.

You will have a strong emotional reaction when your DLO comes to visit you. All the pain and grief you were feeling over their death will come flooding out of you. You may cry in the dream. You may rejoice and revel that you are reunited.

It’s going to create a strong reaction in you.

When it’s not a visitation, when you are just dreaming about your loved one, you won’t have such a reaction. It will be like “Oh last night I dreamed mom made some of her famous tuna noodle casserole. It was yummy.

When it’s a real visitation you will feel it in your soul.

You Remember the Dream Even Years Later

When you have an encounter with your DLO you’re going to remember it. You’ll wake up and the dream won’t fade like a lot of dreams do.

Instead you will remember the experience like you just ran into a friend at the store. It won’t sink into the recesses of your mind. It will be right at the forefront, and it will be unforgettable.

The dreams I’ve had where my loved ones told me about something good or bad that was about to happen are dreams I still remember decades later, because although the information came through the dream mechanism, it was just as real as having a face to face conversation with someone.

Your deceased loved ones are still very much tuned in to you and your life. They would like nothing more than to tell you they are fine on the other side and not to worry about them.

They will come to you in your dreams as often as they can, but it does take energy and finesse to wiggle into your dream plane so it’s not likely to happen every night.

Be on the lookout for their presence, and remember to let them give you their message. They’ve come a long way to bring it to you.
