In honor of my “astral anniversary” tomorrow, I want to share an experience I had a couple of weeks ago when a very cheeky astral entity decided it wanted to attack me. I’ll share how I handled it in case this ever happens to you, and some ways to handle random entity attacks in general.
The Attack
I had been asleep for about an hour when I felt the tingling sensation and high-pitched sound of myself being pulled into the astral plane. There was a shadow entity right on top of my astral body. I could feel tendrils wrapped around me holding me in place, and its “face” pushed down against mine and I felt myself start to suffocate. It was trying to smother me. Bastard.
I didn’t panic, but that’s likely because I’ve dealt with surprise attacks many times and I know how to get out of them. If this happens to you and you feel panic, don’t feel bad. That’s an appropriate response to being smothered.
I twisted my astral body 90 degrees to the right which stopped me from feeling smothered but I was still tight in its grasp. I pulled myself back in my body and attempted to sit up. But the entity shifted its position, moved behind me and wrapped itself around me and pulled me back into the astral.
I mentally said to it, “Things are about to go badly for you if you don’t leave right now.” It didn’t leave. I said, “Okay, don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
I knew I had to get off its frequency to break the hold it had on me and to get back in my body so I could make a conscious and un-rushed decision about how I wanted to handle it.
So I very consciously moved to a higher frequency by thinking about my loved ones. It’s hold on me weakened considerably, so I pulled myself back in my body, and physically sat up in bed.
I used my psychic abilities to sense it so I could gauge its power level, its nature, its current location, and its ultimate intent. That information would tell me how to best deal with it.
Its power level was about a 6 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being a highly conscious, highly powerful being that would be difficult to deal with, and a 1 being like an ant.
With regards to its nature, it was an astral entity not a demon and its consciousness level was also about a 5 which meant to me that it would continue to attack me until it got what it wanted. I couldn’t just shoo it away with a wave of my hand.
Its current location was to my right, and it was sitting there waiting for me to lie down again so it could pull me out of my body again.
And its intent was to cause me harm and to siphon some of my energy away.
I ran through my options (which I’ll go over below) and decided to dispel it with light. It’s fast, effective, and would give me the quickest opportunity to safely go to sleep without fearing another attack.
I turned on the light in my bedroom and waited to see how it responded to that. It recoiled; its frequency disrupted. I waited about 5 minutes to make sure it was all the way gone, and it was. But to be safe, I turned on my flashlight, to provide some light in the room to keep it from coming back.
I turned off my bedroom light and went back to sleep with no further astral incursions.
And now let’s go over the 6 ways to handle an astral entity that makes an unwelcome advance on you.
Make a Light Sword
When I was young and just starting my astral journey, I developed a sword of light that I would use to basically stab entities with high vibrational energy. They didn’t like it and they would go back to their plane of existence.
I must say it got to be sort of fun to go out occasionally on patrol like I was Buffy the Astral Vampire Slayer and clear the streets of the riff raff.
If you want an astral sword of light, you can pretty easily create one with your will. When you leave your body, imagine a sword of light either coming out of your body, or just manifesting in your astral hands.
Your level of confidence and expectation will be what determines if you are successful at creating it. Nothing can stop you from making this sword, so practice until manifesting it is second nature to you.
Move to Another Frequency
I’ll use an analogy to explain this one. If you go in the ocean and a shark comes at you, get out of the water. It won’t follow you onto land. Be somewhere that it can’t follow you.
In astral terms, if you’re on the same frequency as an astral entity that is attacking you, be somewhere else. Shift your frequency.
If you’re in the fear frequency, change your channel to the love, joy, or compassion frequency. This will get you away from it so you can consider your next move. Change what you think about and you will automatically shift outside its grasp.
Cast Love at It
This tactic works extremely well especially on high level entities. When I’m really stuck and can’t get away from an entity because it’s as powerful as I am, I channel love at it. They hate that. They will drop you like you suddenly became poison to them.
To be effective at this tactic you do need to be able to call up loving feelings at any time so you have something to cast at it. You can practice this while you are not astral so you’re ready to go with it when you get in trouble.
I literally just connect to Source (or God, or the Christ energy, etc) and let those feelings of unconditional love seep into every atom of my body, then I look at the entity and share the love I’m feeling at it.
Turn on the Light
If you can get free of your attacker, back in your body, and sit up fast enough to turn on the light, then you are now in the position of power. Physical light will dispel an entity pretty fast, depending on its power level and the intensity of its desire to chomp you.
If you’ve developed your clairs, you can use them to determine if the entity has dissipated or is still waiting on the astral plane for you to become vulnerable again.
When it’s gone, you can safely go back to sleep. This can take 5 minutes or even a couple of hours (in my experience) depending on its intent and ability to stick around. If I’m in a hurry, I turn on a flashlight which casts enough ambient light in my room, and then go back to sleep. Or I just keep my bedroom light on and go back to sleep.
Change your Astral Location
Sometimes if an entity and I are in a tug of war, and I can’t get back to my body easily or quickly, and I want to dispel it completely, we have what I call a “chase scene.” I stay astral and then I start moving fast.
For example, I use all my astral weight to sink down through my bed and into the Earth. It’s sort of like if an attacker has you in a choke hold and you go completely limp and fall out of their grasp.
The entity will give chase. I zoom around through the Earth a bit, trying to lose it, and sometimes then shoot up into the sky where it will have to follow me if it wants to keep attacking me.
Then I’ll zip into another time, like literally the past or future, and if it can find me there then it’s pretty clever.
But I zip around until I’m ready with my light sword and then it usually impales itself when it appears where I am waiting. If not, I am the one who starts chasing it, and then I dispatch it back to its home plane.
I have to admit that this is a little fun for me, but I reserve it for special occasions. Mostly I just evade because I’m older now and need my sleep.
Call in the Big Guns
If you’re new to astral projection and you get in trouble and you can’t seem to get away from the entity, then it’s time to call for reinforcements.
Ask the angelic energies that protect Earth to help you. Just literally say in your mind, “Archangel Michael, please help me.” You can also call out to your deity of choice. Do not ask your spirit guides to help you; they are not warriors, and while they might heartily sympathize with your situation, they are not designed to do battle with high level entities.
When you call out for help, it will come. Then just watch in awe as your entity becomes a ragdoll in an angel’s mouth. Be sure to thank your savior for their time and trouble.
In Summary
I don’t want you to be afraid of astral projection; I just want you to be prepared if something untoward happens and you find yourself in a bit of a jam.
Forewarned is forearmed. Know what your options are. Practice them consciously. And if one day you find yourself in a bit of trouble, you’ll know what to do.
